The Kaya Vase is designed and created by Lakaya M. Peeples.  Some basic designs are shown here, but no two ever come out exactly alike. It is also rare that I use the same fibers or fabrics twice.  I take a basic color and prep it for the process, but once that fibre is depleted, the replacement fibre even though same in color will have its own attributes allowing a new vase in the same color to be as unique as the one before it.  As I create new ones, they will be pictured here.  I can even make them out of your favorite fabrics, if  something has sentimental value and you want to immoratalize it in a unique way...this is what I do.  On occasion I will do commisioned work involving a previously existing vase that had been broken or damaged in some way, but that is rare.  99% of all Kaya Vases start as a new vase. One person commisioned me  to make a vase from a piece of bridal lace to surprise his wife,  I dont have a picture of it yet, but when I do, it will be displayed here as it is my best work yet.  Vases range in size from an average of 7 to 10 inches.
